Fujifilm has announced the launch of its latest mirrorless camera – GFX 50S in India. The device has been available globally since January 2018 and now it has finally made it into the Indian market.
The body of the camera is priced at Rs 511,999.
The device features a powerful 51.4 MP medium format sensor. The sensor is a proprietary technology of Fujifilm and can be adjusted to different aspects ratios, much like in old film cameras.
The sensor measures 43.8 x 32.9 mm, which is larger by 1.7 times compared to common sensors used in competitors’ cameras such as Cannon and Sony.
Powering the camera is the X-Processor Pro image processor, which supports full HD video recording at 30 fps, ISO range of 100-12800 and burst shoot range of up to 3 fps.
The device frame also sports a 3.2 inch touchscreen panel, which also has a 2.36 million dot resolution that is weather and dust resistant. The viewfinder is electronic and detachable with 3.69 million dot resolution.
The camera is relatively lightweight at 850 grams and offers a battery life of 400 stills after each charge.
Furthermore, the Fujifilm GFX 50S, with its powerful specifications, is mainly targeted at professional photographers, as against its X Series in India that is targeted at casual users.
