Japanese carmaker Honda has launched the all-new Honda CR-V in India. Prices for the new Honda CR-V in India start at Rs 28.15 lakh ex-showroom (India).
The all-new Honda CR-V will take on the likes of the segment-leading Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour.
The 5th Generation Honda CR-V is available in three variants – Petrol CVT 4×2, Diesel AT 4×2, Diesel AT 4×4. The Petrol CVT 4×2 is the most affordable variant and is priced at Rs 28.15 lakhs, which is Rs 88,000 more than the entry-level petrol Fortuner.
The two-wheel drive Diesel AT 4×2 has an asking price of Rs 30.65 lakh while the 4×4 variant costs Rs 32.75 lakhs. (all prices are ex-showroom, India).
The base diesel variant of the new Honda CR-V is Rs 1.37 lakhs more costlier than the entry-level diesel version of the Fortuner.
The Honda CR-V is available with two engine options – a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and for the first time a 1.6-litre turbocharged diesel.
The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 151 Bhp at 6500 rpm and 189 Nm of peak torque at 4300 rpm.
The petrol engine is paired with a CVT automatic gearbox and will only be offered with two-wheel-drive.
