Home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto on Monday has reported a decline of 2 per cent in its domestic sales to 229,225 units in June 2019.
The sales stood at 234,576 units in June, 2018, the company said in a statement.
Total sales for Bajaj Auto saw no major difference as the number remained 404,624 units in June this year as compared to 404,429 units sold in the same month last year.
Total exports saw an increase of 3 per cent to 175,399 units.
While overall motorcycle sales grew 4 per cent to 351,291 units in the month under review, total commercial vehicle sales declined 20 per cent (YoY) to 53,333 units in June. The company’s commercial vehicle sales were 66,677 units in the same month previous year.
Bajaj Auto also posted an uptick of 2 per cent in its first quarter (April-June) for FY19 to 1,247,174 units as against 1,226,641 units in the quarter under review last year.
