Home-grown two-wheeler maker, Bajaj Auto on has reported a marginal increase of 1 per cent in overall domestic sales to 232,104 units in April.
Bajaj had sold 229,464 units in April 2018, the company said in a regulatory filing. Overall exports increased from 185,704 units in April last year to 191,211 units previous month.
Company’s motorcycle segment grew 5 per cent YoY to 366,268 units (domestic + exports) as compared to 349,617 units dispatched in April 2018. Motorcycle exports grew highest at 160,393 units last month, an increase of 8 per cent.
Bajaj’s commercial vehicle sales saw a double digit decline of 13 per cent to 57,047 units in the month under review. The sales stood at 65,551 units for April in FY19.
