Last month, Ford India started its BS-VI chapter by rolling out the updated EcoSport. Now though, the marque has revealed the pricing for the BS-VI versions of all its entry-level products in one shot - the Figo, Freestyle & Aspire. These three models now start from ₹5.39 lakh, ₹5.89 lakh & ₹5.99 lakh, respectively (petrol range) and in case you opt for the diesel range, the starting prices are pegged at ₹6.86 lakh, ₹7.34 lakh and ₹7.49 lakh, respectively.
If we look at the starting prices of the petrol range, the BS-VI Figo & Aspire command ₹16,000 & 10,000 more, respectively, while the BS-VI Freestyle gets a price cut of ₹2,000. Likewise, an examination of the prices of the diesel range reveals higher price gains. The BS-VI Figo diesel has become more expensive by about ₹26,000 - ₹30,000 and the BS-VI Aspire diesel gets a ₹12,000 price hike.
As for the differences in power & torque figures, both the 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol & 1.5-litre TDCi engines have barely undergone any changes. The 1.2 petrol now develops 1Nm less than before (95bhp & 119Nm). The diesel, on the other hand, produces an unchanged 99bhp & 215Nm of torque.
Ford India recently announced that all its forthcoming BS-VI vehicles will be offered with its FordPass in-car connectivity suite. After making its debut the on the updated EcoSport, FordPass will now find its way onto these three products and will be offered across all variants.
