Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has decided to install free charging stations for electric vehicles. Through these stations, vehicles will get free charging for three months.
The charging stations which will be installed in corporation limits will start operation from November 1.
After the first three months, an amount will be collected for charging. The users can pay the bill at the charging stations through a mobile application.
Through this app, the user can identify the nearest charging station and availability of charging slot. Three vehicles can be charged at a time in the charging station.
After paying the bill in advance, the electric vehicle user has to reach the station at the directed time. Or else, payment could be made after reaching the station.
According to reports, KSEB will construct 56 more charging stations across the state.
