Hero Electric has launched its two new electric scooters Optima ER and Nyx ER in India today at a price tag of Rs 68,721 (ex-showroom, pan India) and Rs 69,754 (ex-showroom, pan India) respectively.
These two e-scooters come extending the Optima and Nyx ranges, informs the company in a release.
Commenting on the launch, Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric India, said, "We want to offer the best of Hero Electric products to all our customers. One feedback that we have constantly received was the range anxiety associated with e-scooters, and with the Nyx ER and Optima ER we are addressing that issue and offering a package that is high on performance and usability."
He also said, "I am confident that customers will appreciate these additions alongside the FAME II benefits that have made our range even more affordable."
Besides launching these two e-scooters, Hero Electric has recently inaugurated its new corporate office in Bangalore, which is claimed to be strengthening its network and presence in the southern part of the country.
The EV maker also announced that it will have more than 1,000 touchpoints by 2020 from current 615 outlets. Also, Hero electric has aggressive plans to expand its product portfolio for the B2B sector, especially with Nyx ER.
Hero Electric also has extensive investment plans in the next three years to ramp up production capacity of its e-scooters to 5 lakh units annually. The company will increase its investment in R&D as well, keeping an eye on the advanced products for the future.
