Honda begins delivery of superbike Africa Twin Adventure Sports

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India started the deliveries of the 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports.

Launched in the country in March 2020, the new Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is not only lighter but also more powerful and technically superior than its predecessor.

The 2020 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is equipped with a new 1,084cc, parallel-twin engine in comparison to the 998cc motor of the 2019 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports. There are manual as well as automatic DCT options with six riding modes -- Tour, Urban, Gravel, Off-Road, User 1 and User 2.

The adventure-tourer sits on a semi-double cradle frame. There are inverted Showa forks at the front and fully adjustable Pro-Link suspension at the rear. The 2020 Africa Twin Adventure Sports features spoked wheels and tubeless tyres (21-inch front and 18-inch rear).

Also available are two ABS modes -- on-road and off-road. The ABS is integrated with a 6-axis IMU (inertial measurement unit).

The rider can switch off the rear ABS as well.

The 2020 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports features new dual LED headlights with DRLs. It gets a 6.5-inch colour TFT touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility. The fuel tank is bigger than before at 24.8 litres. The seat is narrower by 20 mm, and also adjustable.

Also available are heated grips and five-stage adjustable windscreen. The new Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports is also equipped with cruise control, throttle by wire, wheelie control, rear lift control and emergency stop signal features. Asianet Online
