Kia reveals first sketches of mid-SUV based on SP concept

South Korean carmaker, Kia Motors India on Tuesday revealed the first sketch of its upcoming mid-SUV manufactured in India. Based on the SP concept, the illustrations give a sneak-peak into the much awaited and anticipated, mid-SUV from Kia Motors, the company said in media release.

The sketches of the Kia car highlight its diverse global portfolio as the company said in a release. The mid-SUV will come with a wide Tiger nose grille, one of the design elements of the company.

Its robust yet sporty design will be matched by a wide range of features and technologies that are universally suited to younger buyers in markets around the world. Our new mid-SUV is a proposition that no other car in its class will match.”

The Mid-SUV has shoulder line, matched with a glasshouse which tapers towards the rear of the car, as well as rear bumper with a metallic muffler effect that gives sportiness to the compact SUV, the company claimed.

The SUV houses LED headlamps which extend over the radiator grille. The lamps feature a three-dimensional light graphic and a highly technical diamond pattern at their trailing edges. The design is also echoed in the rear LED lamps.
