Premium high-performance motorcycle manufacturer KTM has launched 390 Adventure in India at a price of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Austrian company has also commenced receiving bookings for the model on Monday.
Marking KTM's entry into the emerging adventure motorcycles market in India, the 390 Adventure was unveiled at the India Bike Week on December 6, 2019.
KTM 390 Adventure is inspired from the Dakar winning KTM-450 Rally, deriving much from KTM’s rich legacy in Rally Racing in terms of chassis, profiling and several specs such as a larger fuel tank, ergonomics & wind protection to ensure a steady, safe & easy ride on any surface that is on offer, claims the brand.
The motorcycle is purpose-built for adventure travel and features a lightweight trellis frame chassis, a long-travel suspension by WP. It runs on 170 mm front wheel and 177 mm rear wheel, wrapped with knobby tyres by Metzeller. The motorcycle comes with 200 mm of ground clearance.
Also, it gets long wheelbase, extendable windshield and a protective bash plate for the engine, as claimed by the company. The motorcycle features TFT digital display, LED headlamp and taillights.
Power source for the KTM 390 Adventure is a 373.2 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, DHC engine with Bosch EFI technology. The engine churns out 43 PS of power at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm.
