Mercedes Benz India launched three new models in India, including two first timers here in New Delhi on Thursday. The German luxury car maker introduced S 500 Coupe, S 63 AMG Coupe and refreshed G63 AMG in new colour schemes.
The S 500 Coupe is priced at Rs 2.0 crore ex-showroom Delhi. It is be powered by 4663cc V8 engine which produces a 455 hp @ 5250 – 5500 RPM, and a max torque of 700NM @ 1800 – 3500 RPM. The coupe comes with 94 swarowski crystals in its headlight,
Mercedes also launched S 63 AMG coupe, its eighth AMG product in India, which is the performance version of the S class Coupe. It has been priced at Rs 2.6 crore. The car gets a 5461cc V8 engine which has an output of 585hp @ 5500 RPM.
“It has been a great year for Mercedes Benz as we have registered 41 percent growth in the first half of 2015,” said Eberhard Kern MD, Mercedes Benz India.
“With the three products we are also launching the ‘designo’ platform that sets new benchmark in modern luxury, design, aesthetics and craftsmanship.” With the ‘Designo’ appointments, the cars can be customised to a higher level. The customer gets to check all the options through an app which the salesperson will have. The costing of the chosen options is given immediately to the customer.
The second AMG launched on the day was G 63 AMG ‘crazy colour edition’. The refreshed luxury SUV is priced at Rs 2.17 crore. G 63 will now sport 3 more colour namely the solar beam, sunset beam, and Alien Green.
With these three launches, the company has now launched nine models this year and will introduce six more models in this calendar year.
