TVS Sport is among the most popular commuter motorcycles we have in India. An updated Sport with several cosmetic tweaks and a more powerful BS6-compliant engine was recently launched in the market.
Since the introduction, the BS6 TVS Sport prices have shot up more than once.
The BS6 TVS Sport is available in two variants -- Kick Start and Self Start.
The Kick Start variant of the BS6 TVS Sport was initially priced at Rs 51,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the Self Start trim was available for Rs 58,925 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The prices were then increased to Rs 52,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Kick Start variant and Rs 59,675 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Self Start trim.
TVS Sport BS6 Specifications
The new TVS Sport is powered by a BS6-compliant, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, fuel injection, air-cooled, 109.7cc engine that develops 8.17bhp of max power and 8.7Nm of peak torque. The mill is offered with a 4-speed gearbox.
Its predecessor had a BS4-compliant, 99.7cc motor that produced 7.2bhp of utmost power and 7.5Nm of peak twisting force, and was mated to a 4-speed gearbox.
TVS Motor Company claims a top speed of 90kmph for the BS6 Sport.
The suspension duties are performed by telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels as standard. Both the ends have a drum brake, with a 130mm unit at the front and a 110mm unit at the rear.
