Volvo Buses has delivered a new batch of 55 coaches to the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), informs the automaker. With this, Volvo has delivered around 600 buses to the KSRTC.
The Swedish automaker also claims that these BS-IV compliant buses come with advanced engine management system clubbed with Volvo I-Shift gearbox.
These buses are equipped with fire detection and suppression system, vehicle location and tracking technology and panic buttons. Also, they get an electronic stability program, EBS, reverse camera, ergonomic driver cabin design, a force-distributing structure at the front to minimize damage in case of collision.
Commenting on the delivery of these buses, Suresh Chettiar, Business Head, Volvo Buses South Asia, said, “The delivery of these best-in-class coaches is another great milestone in our treasured relationship with the KSRTC.
