Cracked heels is a very common problem. 1.Lemon & Salt Soak: Soak your feet in warm water that contains the juice of squeezed lemon in it. Add some salt to the mixture as well. Lemon is known to be great in getting rid of the dead skin cells. Salt is great for preventing all sorts of infections.

2.Rosewater & Glycerin: Apply a mix of rose water and glycerin on the cracks and leave it overnight. You’ll definitely wake up to softer feet with regular use.

3.Vegetable Oils: Use any vegetable oil as a moisturiser to treat cracked heels. You could use olive, coconut or even almond oil. These oils penetrate deep into the skin to lock in the moisture.

4.Petroleum jelly: Apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly to the cracks and wear your socks and leave it overnight. This would ensure that the jelly works and heals the cracks.

5.Fruit Mask: Papaya and avocado would be great options for a fruit mask, as both these fruits are easy to mash and are also known for providing moisture to dry skin. If avocados are difficult to find, you could even use a banana.

6.Milk & Honey: Milk and honey, just like being great for the face, can work very well for the feet too. Honey is a gentle exfoliant and it helps breakdown dead skin cells while providing the required amount of moisture to the skin, without being too harsh on the skin. Milk is also great for providing moisture.

7.Neem: Make a paste of neem leaves and turmeric. Apply this paste on to your feet. Neem is known for its antifungal properties and it helps get rid of all the bacteria and any traces of infections. Turmeric would help in reducing inflammation as well.

8.Rice Flour & Honey: A rice flour and honey scrub can be made for easy and fast results. Honey would act as an exfoliant and moisturizer all at the same time. And the grainy texture of the rice flour ensures that the flaky parts of the heels get removed.

9.Mustard Oil: Massage the heels with some mustard oil and leave it on overnight. Wear socks over it for best results. You will see that your heels look a lot better in the morning.

10.Vinegar: Soak your feet in a mix of warm water and vinegar for a few minutes to soften the dead skin and then scrub off the skin with a pumice stone. Apply a strong moisturizer after this.
