Amitabh Bachchan joins Prabhas and Deepika Padukone's next

‘Mahanati’ fame Nag Ashwin is helming a mega-budget project that will have Prabhas and Deepika Padukone as the leads. The cast just got bigger with Amitabh Bachchan joining the team. The formal announcement has just been made by the makers through their official Twitter handle.

Tentatively titled as ‘Prabhas 21’, it is a massive project backed by Vyjayanthi Films. The legendary production house is celebrating their 50th anniversary and this project is deemed to be a very prestigious one for them. Expectations will be sky-high as three superstars — Prabhas, Deepika and Bachchan — who enjoy massive fan base are coming together for the first time.

If reports are to be believed, the film is a futuristic sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of an imaginary third world war. It is being planned as a pan-Indian film with a mammoth budget of over Rs 400 crore. The makers are eyeing to start shooting in April next year and to release it in 2022. Apart from Telugu, the film will also be simultaneously made in Tami and Hindi languages.
