Mohanlal honoured with Padma Bhushan by President

President Ram Nath Kovind conferred the Padma honours to the 56 inspiring personalities today. Actor Mohanlal was conferred with the honour by the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi today. Mohanlal was awarded with Padma Bhushan.

Politician Hukumdev Narayan Yadav and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa were also honoured with Padma Bhushan. Veteran journalist Kuldip Nayar received the award posthumously.

Actor Prabhu Deva, music director Shankar Mahadevan both received Padma Shri awards, while kabaddi player Ajay Thakur, percussionist Anandan Sivamani, wrestler Bajrang Punia, singer and table tennis player Sharath Kamal, Indian chess grandmaster Harika Dronavalli and former foreign secretary S. Jaishankar are among the others who have been conferred with Padma honours.Late Afghan-Canadian-Indian actor Kader Khan was also conferred with the award.

It was in January the Padma honours were announced. From 112 inspiring personas, 56 received the honour from the President today,The rest of the winners will be getting the prestigious honour on March 16th.
