Nayanthara to play female lead in Kunchacko Boban’s next

Nayanthara, has signed a new project in Malayalam. Titled Nizhal, the film will feature actor Kunchacko Boban in the lead role. According to reports, the film is touted to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller, and it is all set to go on floors from October 19.

Nizhal marks the directorial debut of award-winning editor Appu N Bhattathiri. It was Kunchacko Boban who suggested Nayanthara's name as the script demanded a strong female character. 

Major portions of the film will be shot in Ernakulam, Kerala, adhering to government restrictions and regulations. They will be shooting the film with a minimal crew and every actors have been advised be take Covid-19 test once in a week.

Nayanthara is waiting for the release of Mookuthi Amman with RJ Balaji. She will also begin shooting for Vignesh Shivan's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal with Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha Akkineni.

The actress also has another film titled Netrikann, which is produced by her boyfriend Vignesh Shivan. Directed by Milind Rau, the film is the remake of hit Korean thriller Blind.
