'One Mic Stand' trailer is out

After the successful completion of Comicstaan 2, Amazon Prime Video has come up with yet another comedy show, but this time it features celebrities trying their hand at stand-up comedy. The streaming service recently released the first trailer of the show.

The show will feature Taapsee Pannu, Richa Chadha, Shashi Tharoor, Vishal Dadlani and Bhuvan Bam who will be mentored by well-known comedians Zakir Khan, Ashish Shakya, Rohan Joshi, Kunal Kamra, Angad Singh Ranyal. The celeb-comedian pairing is done by the makers, keeping in mind their personal beliefs. The show will be hosted by Sapan Verma. It will have a total of five episodes, each featuring one celebrity performer.

In the first trailer of the show, we see actor Taapsee Pannu and YouTuber Bhuvan Bam trying their hand at comedy.

Comedian Sapan Verma, who is also the showrunner, said in a statement, “The concept of One Mic Stand came to me many years ago and I am glad that Amazon Prime Video was so supportive in making it happen. I think the idea of seeing your favourite people in a new vulnerable position is always endearing. Basically, I have got famous celebrities so that the show gets the views and top comedians to ensure the show is funny, so that I can just sit back and not do much.”

One Mic Stands premieres on November 15 on Amazon Prime Video.
