Release date announced for Mammootty’s 'Shylock'

Mammootty’s‘Shylock’ was originally scheduled to hit screens on December 20. But the postponing of ‘Mamangam’ to Christmas season meant that two Mammootty starrers will be releasing within a gap of 8 days.

This has forced the makers of ‘Shylock’ to find a new appropriate slot. They have finally zeroed in on January 23 as the new release date.

Interestingly, both these films will be releasing in multiple languages. Though ‘Mamangam’ was originally made in Malayalam, it is also releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages.

The makers are working hard to release all the four versions on the same day. ‘Shylock’, on the other hand, is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. The Tamil version has been titled as ‘Kuberan’. Both the Tamil and Malayalam versions are expected to hit screens simultaneously.
