Vijay Antony's 'Kolaigaran' gets a U/A certificate

'Kolaigaran' is touted to be an action thriller, the film is a kind of cat-and-mouse game between Vijay Antony who plays a murderer and that of Arjun, who plays a tough cop. Director Andrew Louis who made the film 'Leelai' helmed this venture and debutant Ashima Narwhal played the female lead along with Seetha, Nasser, and Gautham essaying supporting roles.

Now the latest update is that the film has been censored U/A by CBFC. Dhananjayan of BOFTA Mediaworks has bankrolled the film and will be eying for a release on June 5 in the festive season of Eid.

We had earlier reported that young music sensation 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander released the full audio jukebox of the album 'Kolaigaran' which was well received along with the trailer of the film which released a few weeks back.

Simon K King of 'Yavvana' fame composed music for the film with lyrics penned by Dhamayanthi and crooned by Yazin Nizar.

The story mostly revolves around why Vijay Antony’s character became a murderer. It will not be the regular good guy versus bad guy story as both the male leads will have negative shades.
