Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's upcoming film Liger will release in the theatres on September 9 worldwide. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film will release in five languages including, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. The film's shooting came to an abrupt halt in March 2020, due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. After about 11 months, the Liger team is resuming the film's shoot on February 11.
Sharing the update with the fans, Vijay Deverakonda wrote, "The Date is set. India - we are coming! September 9, 2021 (sic)." Within a few minutes after the announcement, the poster of Liger went viral on social media.
Karan Johar, one of the producers of Liger, revealed that the film will release in five languages. He posted, "All set to pack a punch around the globe! #Liger is releasing in theatres on 9th September worldwide in 5 languages - Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada & Malayalam. #Liger9thSept #SaalaCrossbreed (sic)."
The shooting of Liger had to be halted in March 2020 before India went into lockdown to tackle the novel coronavirus pandemic. After a break of 11 months, the Liger team will resume the shoot today in Mumbai. Charmme Kaur took to Twitter to reveal the news.
Charmme Kaur and Puri Jagannadh, producers of Liger, met Ananya Panday and her family in Mumbai yesterday and hung out with them. Charmme took to Twitter to share a photo with Puri and Ananya's family.
She wrote, "Beautiful evening with gorgeous people at most beautiful home. Was Much required before we kick start our crazy schedule from tomorrow. Thanks chunkypanday bhavanapandey @ananyapandayy for being super amazing host. #LIGER (sic)."
