Vijay-Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Master’ is one of the most awaited South Indian films of the year. It was originally scheduled to hit screens in April but due to the Corona virus outbreak, the makers were forced to push the release plans. Industry insiders hopeful about the film getting a Diwali release in November.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Master’ promises to be a high voltage mass entertainer. While Vijay plays a college professor named John Durairaj, Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as a gangster in the film. His character is named as Bhavani and it is said to be a very interesting role that’s not entirely one-dimensional.
In a recent interview, Vijay Sethupathi revealed that he is playing a pure evil character. The two actors have several combination scenes in the film most of which where shot within a jail. ‘Master’ also stars Andrea Jeremiah, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Gouri Kishan and many others.
Music director Anirudh, editor Philomin Raj and cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan form the core technical crew. Xavier Britto is producing the film under the banner of XB Pictures.
