Vijay Sethupathi's 'Laabam' first schedule wrapped up

Actor Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan come together for the first time in 'Laabam' directed by SP Jhananathan of 'Peraanmai' fame. The shooting of the film started on April 22nd and the first schedule has been wrapped up in Rajapalayam yesterday. The film also has Jagapathi Babu playing the negative role with Kalaiyarasan in an important role.

The film is a revolutionary subject that will have a strong message, but will be a lot more action-packed. The story is set against the backdrop of a village and revolves around Sethupathi’s character, who plays a social activist.

The film is produced by the actor's Vijay Sethupathi Productions in association with 7 C S Entertainment, which bankrolled films such as 'Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren'. D Imman will be composing music for the film.

Eminent cinematographer Ramji, whose work has been appreciated in movies like 'Paruthi Veeran', 'Thani Oruvan' and 'Irandam Ulagam', will crank the camera.
