6.1 magnitude quake struck Afghanistan; tremors felt in Delhi

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan on Wednesday, with tremors felt in Delhi and neighbouring Haryana and Punjab.

The quake was also felt in Jammu and Kashmir.

The quake hit at around 12:40 pm (07:07 GMT) near Afghanistan’s northern border with Tajikistan in the Hindu Kush mountains at a depth of 191 kilometres, the U.S Geological Survey said.
