Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 5, 2013: Salim Raj, former gunman of chief minister Oommen Chandy, will now face a Crime Branch probe in a land grab case registered at Thrikkakara in Ernakulam district.
DGP Balasubramanian ordered the Crime Branch probe into the case based on a report by ADGP A Hemachandran. An officer with not less than an SP rank will probe the case. There were reports that the Kochi DCP tried tried to sabotage the case.
Meanwhile, the Kalamassery police on Friday registered a case against AK Nasser, 48, a resident of Pathadippalam in Kochi, who accused CM’s former gunman Salim Raj of aiding to grab his land in Kochi. The police said that the documents produced by Nasser were fake.
