Disha Ravi gets bail in 'toolkit' case

New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday granted bail to 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi, arrested in connection with allegedly being involved in sharing a 'toolkit' on social media related to the farmers' protest.

Additional Sessions Judge Dharmender Rana granted relief to Disha on a personal bond of Rs one lakh and two sureties of like amount.

"Considering the scanty and sketchy evidence on record, I do not find any palpable reason to breach the rule of bail for a 22-yeat-old girl who has absolutely no criminal antecedents," the court said.

Delhi Police had accused Disha of creating the online toolkit - a Google document - in support of ongoing farmers' protest in the country and claimed she is part of global conspiracy to create unrest and trigger violence in the guise of farmers' stir against the three agriculture laws.
