While pointing out their mistake, tell them that you want them to improve and progress in their careers, and that’s why you’re giving them a dose of instructions”, said Carla. 5.Understand your subordinates’ personal situation: “Your subordinates are not machines, they are human beings. The minute you understand this, you are a winner because you can motivate your subordinates by showing a personal side to your managerial abilities. It can be as simple as asking a subordinate on how his /her divorce is coming along and if they need any help or how their baby is doing etc”, explained Carla.
