Kannur: The Mansoor murder case in Panoor will be investigated by the Crime Branch. District Crime Branch DYSP Ismail is in charge of the probe.
Kannur Police commissioner R. Ilanko said that 11 accused in the case have been identified and they will be nabbed soon.
At present, none of the accused in Mansoor murder case, are in custody, he added.
It is not right to protest against the arrest of accused in one case just because the culprits in another case are yet to be nabbed, Ilanko explained. Earlier, the UDF leaders had boycotted the all-party peace meet convened by the district collector alleging that the police didn’t take stringent action in the incident.
