Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday deferred the anticipatory bail plea filed by dubbing artiste Bhagyalakshmi and women activists Diya Sana and Sreelakshmi Arakkal in a case related to trespassing and causing hurt to Vijay P. Nair, a YouTuber who made derogatory remarks on women.
The case will be considered again on October 30. The court also stayed their arrest.
While the defendant argued that the charges of robbery and trespassing will not stand, the prosecution argued that providing anticipatory bail to the accused will send out wrong message to the society.
The prosecution stated that the accused arrived at Vijay’s room planning to attack him and added that they came fully prepared with black ink and other substances.
