Kochi: The Kerala High Court refused to issue a stay on the Crime Branch probe against Enforcement Directorate officials.
However, the court has directed the state government to avoid any strict procedures till next Tuesday.
Meanwhile, the state government has informed HC that the statement of the witnesses is being recorded and requested permission to carry out the process uninterrupted.
The case will be considered again on March 30.
According to the FIR, the ED officials, probing the gold smuggling case while questioning an accused Swapna Suresh on August 12 and 13, have forced her to give false statements against the state chief minister in order to make fake evidence.
