Is Sivasankar responsible for Sriram's suspension being revoked? asks Muraleedharan

Thiruvananthapuram: Vadakara MP K. Muraleedharan came down heavily on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and former Principal Secretary M. Sivasankar.

Muraleedharan said that he wonders if Sivasankar was responsible for Sriram Venkitaraman’s suspension being revoked and for the IAS officer’s faulty medical examination conducted to determine if he was drunk during the time of the accident.

"An IAS officer killed a journalist by overspeeding his car in an inebriated state. The lady who was with Sriram in the car had stated that he was the one who was behind the wheels. First there was a big suspension, however, he was taken back to duty later. That is what happened in the case", Muraleedharan said.

Muraleedharan said that he wonders if the same lobby had worked behind this case also. Desk: Asianet Online
