Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Tuesday recorded highest ever single-day spike of 2,375 new COVID-19 cases and 10 more fatalities, Health minister K.K Shailaja informed.
With this, the death toll rises to 244.
2,142 persons developed the disease through contact including 174 cases without an identified source of infection.
Malappuram recorded the most number of cases with 454 followed by Thiruvananthapuram with 391 cases and Kozhikode with 260.
1456 patients have recovered from the disease.
