Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala reported 6,316 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Out of the total number of positive cases, 98 people came from outside the state. 5,539 people contracted the virus through contact.
The virus source of 634 cases has not been identified.
28 deaths were also confirmed in the state on Wednesday. 56,993 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
