Thiruvananthapuram: The CPI(M) has decided to field state committee members M.B Rajesh, state secretariat member K.N Balagopal and Kottayam district secretary V.N Vasavan in the assembly polls.
Rajesh will be the CPI(M) candidate in Thrithala constituency. It is believed that the party state committee has approved M.B Rajesh’s candidature.
K.N Balagopal will contest from Kottarakkara while V.N Vasavan will contest from Ettumanoor seat.
Meanwhile, former Kannur district secretary P. Jayarajan didn't get a seat. P.K Jameela, wife of Minister A.K Balan will be the candidate in his constituency Tarur.
The CPI(M) has also decided to give the Ranni seat to the Jose K. Mani faction of Kerala Congress.
