Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala on Thursday reported 4,991 fresh cases of COVID-19, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
With 52,790 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the test positivity rate was at 9.45 percent.
23 deaths were confirmed in the state on Thursday taking the total number of coronavirus fatalities rose to 3,095.
Out of the total number of positive cases, 94 people came from outside the state. 4,413 people contracted the virus through contact.
The virus source of 425 cases has not been identified.
