Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala recorded 5,792 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, while the death toll mounted to 1,915 with 27 more fatalities, Health minister K.K Shailaja said.
In the last 24 hours, 56,157 samples were tested.
Malappuram recorded the highest number of cases at 776 followed by Kollam 682, and Thrissur 667.
Of the positive cases, 104 had come from outside the state and 4,985 were infected through contact. Meanwhile, 6,620 persons recovered from the disease.
