Posters surface against alleged candidature of A.K Balan’s wife

 

 

Palakkad: The protests against the alleged candidature of Minister A.K Balan’s wife P.K Jameela in Tirur constituency for the upcoming Assembly election have intensified within the CPI(M).

Several posters have surfaced since Sunday morning, warning if attempts are made to turn Tirur into a family asset, 'courageous communists' will oppose the move.

The posters appeared in different parts of Palakkad town including premises of Victoria College near to CPI(M) office, Parakkunnam where the minister's residence is located and near the press club building.

It demanded an end to nepotism. 

Jameela’s candidature had created rift within the CPI(M) leaders in the district since initial talks.
