Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala demanded CBI probe into consultancy appointments in Kerala.
He said that it is a shame that NIA probe had reached secretariat in connection with the gold smuggling case.
Opining that it was better for Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to immediately resign, he stated that the various appointments and contracts in the IT Department, mutual agreements with other agencies, and the role of the CM should be thoroughly investigated.
The NIA had on Thursday interrogated M. Sivasankar, former principal secretary to CM, for 5 hours in connection with the case.
