T'puram tightens restrictions to check COVID-19 community spread

Thiruvananthapuram: As the number of coronavirus cases with unknown sources and contacts increased in the state capital, the city has been placed under high alert.

Mayor K. Sreekumar told that restrictions are tightened as a precaution to check community spread.

The police official at AR Camp testing positive for COVID-19 is an indication of how near the danger is, he opined.

Measures have been adopted to decrease the rush at government offices.

The restrictions will be tightened further. Markets will be closed down three days a week. Shops will be allowed to open till 7 pm only, the Mayor added.
