Kerala CM inaugurates 4 sub-registrar office buildings

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan through video-conferencing inaugurated 4 sub-registrar office buildings completed by state government through KIIFB (Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board).

The construction of buildings for sub-registrar offices in Idukki district and one each in Alappuzha and Kozhikode districts are those completed.

Construction of new buildings will begin at Mananthavady in Wayanad district and Triparayar in Thrissur district.

There are several development projects started by the state government over the last four years.

There are a total of 315 sub-registrar offices in the state. Of these, 107 are currently operating in rented buildings. 53 buildings are almost more than 100 years old. An amount of 100 crore was sanctioned under KIIFB for renovation of buildings which are more than 100 years old and for construction of own building for those working in rented premises.
As the part of this, new buildings are being constructed for 48 sub-registrar offices and 3 registration complexes. Desk: Asianet Online
