Flights to four Gulf countries will be operated from Kannur International Airport in the initial phase. Services to Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Sharjah and Doha will be available on December 9 and 10. If Go Air gets sanction to operate international services, flights to Muscat and Dammam will be operated from Kannur in the initial phase itself.
However, Go Air has received approval to operate only domestic services from Kannur airport. Go Air will operate services to Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram on the inaugural day which falls on December 9. The first flight to Thiruvananthapuram will take off from Kannur at 12.20 pm and land in Thiruvananthapuram at 3.30 pm.
Time schedule and route of flights operated by Go Air, Spice Jet and IndiGo will be finalised in the coming days. Domestic services from Kannur will be operated to Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Goa, Delhi and Hubli.
Air India will operate maiden flight from Kannur airport to Abu Dhabi on December 9. The flight will take off from Kannur at 10 am. It will return from Abu Dhabi at 1.30 pm and land at Kannur airport at 7 pm. Time schedule of flights in other days are different from inaugural day.
