Thiruvananthapuram:Kerala recorded 42 COVID-19 cases on Friday, its highest ever number confirmed in a day, while two tested negative.
Out of the new cases, 12 are from Kannur district, 7 are from Kasaragod, 5 each are from Palakkad and Kozhikode, 4 each are from Thrissur and Malappuram,2 are from Kottayam while 1 each are from Pathanamthitta, Wayanad and Kollam districts.
Out of 42, 21 are returned from Maharashtra , 17 from abroad and 1 each from Tamil Nadu and Andrapradesh. 2 had been infected through contact .
Total 28 hotspot in Kerala.
Presently, 216 persons were undergoing treatment.
