Kerala confirms 111 new COVID-19 cases

Thiruvananthapuram: The highest cases of coronavirus reported in Kerala on Friday with 111 new cases in the last 24 hours, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.

This is the first time Kerala reported a three-digit number of cases. 50 arrived from abroad, 48 came from other states. 10 infected through contact.

Meanwhile, 22 have tested negative for the virus.

Of the total cases, Palakkad has reported the highest cases with 40, Malappuram with 18, Pathanamthitta 11, Ernakulam 10, Thrissur 8, Thiruvananthapuram 5, Alappuzha 5, Kozhikode 4, Kollam 2, Idukki 3,  Wayanad 3, Kottayam 1, and Kasaragod 1. Desk: Asianet Online
