Kochi: The Kerala High Court has ruled that private buses can levy extra charges from the passengers until COVID-19 protocol is in place.
The court stayed the government’s order reducing bus charges, for two weeks.
The ruling was based on the petition filed by private bus owners.
Both private and KSRTC buses can collect extra charges from passengers while ensuring safety precautions including social distance. This increased fares can be continued till the lockdown is completely lifted.
