Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala yet again recorded highest single-day spike of 2,333 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Health Minister K.K Shailaja informed.
2151 persons developed the disease through contact including 53 cases without an identified source of infection.
1217 patients tested negative for the virus.
60 persons who tested positive for Covid-19 had returned from abroad and 98 returned from other states.
Thiruvananthapuram recorded the most number of cases with 540 followed by Malappuram with 322 cases, Alappuzha with 253 and Ernakulam with 230 cases.
