New Delhi: Petrol price on Monday was hiked by 30 paise per litre and diesel by 27 paise, the sixth straight day of increase in rates due to firming international oil prices.
Petrol price in Thiruvananthapuram is at Rs 85.72 per litre while diesel rate is Rs 79.65 per litre.
This is the sixth straight day of price hike and the 15th increase in rates since November 20 when oil companies resumed daily price revision after nearly two-month hiatus.
Rates are now at the highest level since September 2018.
Meanwhile, Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed hope that fuel prices would stabilise as the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has decided to increase the crude oil production.
