'Pravasi Chit Fund' evokes good response

The funds mobilised through the 'Pravasi Chit Funds' invested in Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) bonds for the infrastructural development of the state had crossed Rs 100 crore.

NRI Malayalees from any part of the world can join the 'Pravasi Chit' fund managed by the Kerala State Financial Services Enterprises (KSFE).

Till now, 47,437 NRIs from 70 countries had registered in the scheme.

In this scheme, 13,935 NRIs are members of Chit Funds of varied ranges from Rs 2,500 to Rs 10,000 monthly. For those who had not joined the scheme, you can visit the link https://urlzs.com/btHZE  for the details.

The Pravasi Dividend Scheme is getting good response from the NRKs. The scheme is inaugurated by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on December 14, 2019.

Till now, 1500 NRKs had registered in the scheme.

Rs 25.35 crore had been already collected from around 140 investors.

Under the proposed Pravasi Dividend Scheme, a Non-Resident Keralite and his/her life partner will get regular monthly dividends for a one-time deposit.

The government would collect the deposits in the range of Rs 3 lakh to Rs 51 lakh and the amount would be handed over to agencies assigned for infrastructure development.

The deposits would be collected through the Kerala Non-Resident Keralites Welfare Board. The investor or nominee would get a monthly dividend of 10 per cent from the fourth year of deposit.

'Kerala Nirmiti' is a project aimed at giving the public a chance to learn about and evaluate the development projects undertaken by KIIFB.

KIIFB is organising 9 developmental projects in Kasaragod.
