Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has announced a week-long stringent lockdown in its capital city, Thiruvananthapuram, starting Monday.
The shutdown comes after the capital recorded 22 of the 38 Covid-19 patients who were infected through local transmission in the state on Sunday.
The grocery stores will be allowed to open from 7 am to 11 am. Online food delivery service will be resumed.
People will be allowed to go outside and buy essential items.
Earlier, it was said that only one grocery store will be allowed to open in an area and the police will help the public in home delivery of essential services.
