1. Decrease in signs and symptoms of pregnancy
Often at the onset of pregnancy, women start experiencing certain signs and symptoms like morning sickness, nausea, fatigue and breast tenderness. In case of missed miscarriage, since the pregnancy gets terminated, there’s a decrease in the signs and symptoms of pregnancy. So if you find that earlier you suffered from morning sickness which suddenly disappeared or has reduced in intensity, then it may be a symptom that something is amiss.
2. Vaginal discharge
If a pregnant woman experiences brown vaginal discharge, which later on changes color and becomes blood like or bright red, then it’s time to visit a gynecologist. You must not take this lightly as it may be yet another symptom of missed miscarriage.
3. No fetal heartbeat on ultrasound
This is the most reliable symptom of missed miscarriage. If your ultrasound scan doesn’t show any fetal heartbeat, then it means that you may have lost your baby. However, please ensure that you check with your gynecologist before jumping to any conclusions.
4. Emotional instinct
Though this symptom is based on emotional response, but it is often found that a pregnant woman can ‘sense’ that something wrong has happened with her pregnancy. So if all of a sudden, you start feeling uncomfortable and weird about your pregnancy and fear for your baby, then go ahead and visit your gynecologist. It’s always better to be safe than sorry. So trust your instincts and act fast.
