1. Take time out for yourselves
You both might be busy with your jobs and kids, but ensure that you take time off for your husband and the two of you spend some real time together. The time spent eating dinner or doing chores around the house do not count. You need to ensure that the two of you are alone and are able to talk and touch each other freely.
2. Ask him about his work
Sometimes you might not be working and may not have a clue about what he does for a living either. Even then take your time and ask him how it went in his work every day. Sometimes all you need to show him that you care is to lend him a patient ear even if he cribs about his colleagues and his workplace.
3. Stand by him
Let him know that he can count on you no matter what. He should be convinced by your actions that he can rely on you in the most difficult and trying of times. You can either tell him that you will be there for him no matter what or just show him by sticking up to him when no one else does.
4. Ease out his stress
There are so many ways and so many things you can do to ease out the stress he has accumulated. Give him a nice massage or prepare a real nice bath for him so he can soak away all his stress. Learn to identify and act on all the unspoken messages he is sending you. The fact that you listen to him without him actually talking to you shows him that you care about him a lot than he gave you credit for.
5.Send a I love you note once in a while
Send him a love note to his workplace or some flowers to him with a I love you note attached to let him know that you have been thinking about him and that you care about him. It does not have to be a big gesture at all times to let him know that you care.
